Tasked with assigning a Hero to defeat the Demon Lord is an ambiguous figure known simply as the Prophet. As the priestess beholden to a particular god, she has the power to redo time until her chosen Hero successfully carries out his duty. Throughout her many time loops, one man piques her interest—a crass, moneygrubbing adventurer who’s a far cry from the ideal Hero candidate. Nonetheless, the Prophet taps him and his party to save the world. And though their doom seems all but inevitable, the Prophet can’t help but wonder if she’ll be able to defy fate with this inauspicious group…
